Times Past

Times Past is a video meditation on one’s existence. It arises from the need to look past the confines of traditional photography and use multimedia arts as a language to discuss the meaning of life. The work is a celebration of life and death, of fleeting time and one’s ability to stop and contemplate the moment. Sounds of distant music and falling rain draw the audience further in.

Lynn Bianchi is a multimedia artist. Her photographic work has been shown at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Japan; Musée de l’Elysée, Lausanne, Switzerland, Walker Art Center, etc. and is reproduced in the Walker’s catalogue The Expressionist Figure. Bianchi’s art is featured in over forty publications and resides in numerous private collections, including Manfred Heiting’s and Peter Norton’s, as well as in the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas; Brooklyn Museum in New York, Biblioteque Nationale de France, Paris, Musée Ken Damy, Brescia, Italy, 21c Museum, Louisville, Kentucky.
