The shoreline along Roebuck Bay in the Kimberley region of Western Australia has deep red 'pindan' cliffs that meet the ocean. The mudflats are home to mangroves that are scattered along the shore of this ecologically rich environment. The red ochre 'pindan' produced from the cliff faces also make up the 'beach' in this unique area, providing a striking contrast of colour when viewed from above.
