Europe, Where Are You Headed?

  • Photographer

Silver in Editorial/Political, Bronze in Fine Art/Collage

This Black-and-White photograph connects past, present, and future. It is set to question Europe's path and outlook, in times of migration, pandemic, digital upgrade, and other eco-political decisions to be made. This image blends various layers of time, place and meaning: One layer shows Berlin during the Iron Curtain, while the another portrays the Eiffel Tower in a state of free falling. It is a multiple exposure (in camera, shot in Berlin and Paris) that plays with time and place. An abstract or symbol, it simultaneously seems to have stopped in its tracks, looking out to the future.
