The beginning of the work revolves around the element "water", the primordial matrix of life, the cathartic symbol of purification. The long exposure technique (without any digital photoshop intervention) is functional to express and enhance the soul contact with an "amniotic fluid" where the physical connotation loses consistency. Bodies immersed in an ethereal reality to the point that the somatic features are deprived of their specificity, in a middle world where water in its symbolic meaning represents the element of correlation between different planes of existence, as a catalyst element

Franco Ferro was born in Catania (Sicily) in 1964, as a photographer, he specialised both in artistic and portraits photography. His work has been published in a number of well-known magazines in this sector. He has taken part in gallery shows and competitions, receiving both prizes and international recognitions.
