GREAT WHITE EGRET PREENING BALLET I never tire of watching the great white egrets as they balance in the wind on the highest branches of a giant water oak tree. In a flash, they will break into a brief, but thrilling, balletic performance, primping some detail of their spectacular plumage.

After retiring a few years ago I bought a camera and a canoe to paddle Florida swamps and creeks and photograph the beauty I find there.
