This portrait is part of my latest series, "Touch Starvation," that explores an existing tension between human isolation and connection as well as how a simulated reality platform can further exacerbate this tension through the use of technology. Inspired by CGI, video games, the metaverse, 3D software, and de Cos’ dream world, Touch Starvation blends reality and fiction. It exists in an in-between place where identity holds a designated place on- and off-screen, creating a blurred vision between the real and the ideal. Can the human condition strive to achieve more?
