The Ways of Blood
Barefoot. Quick. Dressed in black and a voluminous wreath of asparagus on his head. In the hands the Cardo (a cork disc of about 10 centimeters in diameter with 13 small pieces of glass welded with a layer of wax used to injure the thighs and calves) and the Rose (a second cork disc used to encourage the leakage of blood through continuous and violent blows, and at the same time clean the parts of the blood itself).
During Good Friday, the Battenti of Nocera Terinese give life to a representation made of faith, strength, suffering and blood.
