Non Places

If a place can be defined as a relation, historical and concerned with identity, then a space which cannot be defined as relational, or historical, or concerned with identity will be a "NON-PLACE" This is how the "non-places" are described by a French anthropologist, Marc Auge. The non-places are the anonymous spaces that are filled with people every day. These are the railway stations, airports, subway stations, supermarkets, hotel rooms or the public transport means and which may be entered with a ticket, passport or ID. Do we actually acknowledge them when we pass by and see them?
