The series Koline, shows a cultural symbol that is slowly vanishing away. The goal is to communicate the feelings that one might experience at such an event, the unique mixture of fog, humidity, and smell. While I’m aware this collection can be perceived negatively, I’m aiming to show the real world as it is, as I believe no truth should be hidden, no matter how gruesome it can seem to some. Its purpose is not to encourage people to live like in the old days, but to document how we survived in the past, how feeding pigs for slaughter was a necessary part of keeping families from starving.
