”Him” is a photographic project born during the Covid-19 lockdown in Italy started March 9th, 2020. During this month, solitude and silence dominated the alleys of Rome, while the romans had to stay home. Since everything started, the days have passed and we have lost track of time. The movement, the possibility of walking has become a privileged need. I am a 27-years-old Italian young woman who doesn’t know what will happen tomorrow, but one thing is certain: I will have the opportunity to go out my home only for him.

Flavia Piola is an Italian documentary photographer based between Rome and Milan. In 2019 she graduated from the Istituto Superiore di Fotografia in Rome, and in 2021 gained a Master's degree in Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism from the International Center of Photography in New York.
