That Wanaka Tree
I was always drawn to this well known tree and thought of ways to photograph something that had been captured so many times before, while still remaining unique. The first attempt was very difficult as there were so many photographers around trying also to get that perfect shot. The next morning I went to the site before sunrise to find the morning so still and peaceful with an early sun which was spreading a beautiful golden glow on the tree. This was the vision I had in my mind for so long, my dream of this tree, the sense of destiny fulfilled.
I discovered photography late in life, finding it was very quickly a passion of mine which I can lose myself in.
