The series is about the eggs that are so close to our diet that they describe life, death and the instability of life in between. It was completed using the carbon printing process, a method of alternative printing. The main ingredient of carbon prints, the black pigment, was made using leftover ashes and soot from burned eggs. It's not that the egg disappears after it's taken as an object, but it's new in the form of a photograph.
I studied alternative photography during my master's and doctoral programs at Hongik University. I am currently working as a photographer in Korea.
