Fountain of Youth

The ornate entrance hall of the abandoned Neptune Baths, a former thermal resort in Romania. Legend has it that Hercules bathed and rested here, hence the name of the town: Baile Herculane. The history of this area is very old, and during the Roman Empire it became a true hotspot. With a whopping 16 thermal hot springs on the menu, Baile Herculane was the leader of spa tourism.

Reginald Van de Velde (Belgium, 1975) scouts the unknown & unseen. As a wanderer of wastelands he journeys all over the world, trying to capture the momentum of splendour still undisturbed by the turmoil and temptations of modern society. He is a vagabond for lost beauty, a chronicler of forgotten magnificence.
