Marieta Landkroon is a photographer and filmmaker from the Netherlands. In 2018 Marieta worked in Montreal, Canada, making images in collaboration with reputable models, costume designers and make-up artists. In her series CHAOS REIGNS women are central in the compositions and storytelling. The female symbolizes the ‘chaos’. Order and chaos are part of a mutually complementing duality that has an optimal point of balance. One isn’t better than the other: certain levels of both are desirable. The orderly, almost static, visual aspects in this series are balancing the chaos.

Marieta Landkroon is a photographer and filmmaker based in the Netherlands. Her personal work is often inspired by philosophy and is characterized by a mystical, dark edge. At the age of eighteen, Marieta moved to Amsterdam. Here she studied photography and film at the University of Amsterdam and the Photo Academy. In 2018 she lived and worked in Montreal, Canada, making images in collaboration with reputable models, costume designers and make-up artists. Collaborating with Dutch soprano Laetitia Gerards, Marieta conceived and directed the music video DO NOT SING TO ME, MY BEAUTY.
