Sebastian "Basti" Hofmann dreams of flying from an active volcano to raise awareness for more necessary volcano research in remote locations. It is said that the Yasur is active since over 800 years and many communities live at its foot, yet little research is done because of the lack of funds.
Ulla Lohmann is a German photojournalist with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management. Her photographs have appeared in magazines such as National Geographic, GEO and Stern View and were several times on exhibit and screening at renown Visa pour l’Image, Perpignan. Ulla has published a coffee-table book for National Geographic and is appointed member of DGPh (German Association of Photographers) and of the Explorers Club, New York.
