"Urban Seascapes" explores the on-going process of transformation of the landscapes of the cities (in this case the pictures were shot in several cities in Europe: Madrid, London and Amsterdam between 2013 and 2017). By changing our point of view on the way we look at the façades of the buildings under construction, we are presented to a new landscape which allows us to recover the vision of the lost horizon blocked by the buildings in the city and to escape into the sea leaving behind the hectic noises of these metropolis.

Ignacio Barrios is a Spanish Photographer born in Geneva (1989) that is currently studying an MA in photography at the Royal College of Art in London after receiving his BA in media and communication at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. Barrios has recently been recently selected finalist at the Renaissance Photography Prize in London and for the second round of judging of the prestigious Taylor Wessing Portrait Photographic Prize.
