The staff call it a trauma unit. An ill fitting description for the basic storrage room of the local medical clinic in the outskirts of Mosul, that has been converted into a make shift emergency room. Here a team of 12 doctors, paramedics and volunteers treat some of the many casualties from the fighting further inside the city and stabilize them before they are sent to better equipped medical units further away.
