Lampedusa is a small Mediterranean island, the last border to the south of Europe. In recent years, Chronicle has been dealing with Lampedusa only for the flow of illegal immigration from the North African coasts. With my photos I wanted to tell a different Lampedusa, far from the stereotypes related to the stories of migrants. I wanted to tell the true Lampedusa, the true essence of the island.
