Iceland was originally attractive enough only for the men of the unbending spirit. No endemic animal species, almost no trees occurring naturally, scarce resources and yet magnificent power of nature everywhere. Its epic views have an almost fairytale enchantment. This series is shot during a long walk across the frozen island. It is through the 600 kms walked that these photos became possible. The heavy backpack, the frozen feet, the fog on the lens and the rub of camera strap on the shoulder are out of the viewfinder. What is left on the film - is the fairytale enchantment.
