Whiteville interrogates the resentments largely emanating from a distrust of government and social reactions to the decline of American white culture. This work, however, is not restricted to the isolationist sentiment found only in the US. With the rise in nationalism and religious extremism on a global scale, fear of the decline of white western culture is surging worldwide. Through this lens of crisis and humanity, a discussion emerges, contributing to a new dialogue on masculinity, race, class, economics and identity in search of what it means to white and male in the world today.
