Mud People or “Taong Putik” in a local Filipino term, is a religious ritual in the town of Aliga, Nueva Ecija in the Philippines in honor of their patron saint. Smeared with mud all over their body and faces and covered with banana leaves, this devotees hid their identity emulating their patron and goes to the church for a thanksgiving mass followed by lighting of candles.
