Alessandro, Day By Day
Alessandro is a 47 year old man who is autistic, deaf-mute and self-and-hetero aggressive. His typical day is filled by rituals that are repeated always in the same way, surrounded by love of his family: his mother, his younger sister Virginia and her husband. Alessandro is affected by a level 3 autism: the most serious level identified by modern psychology. In an attempt to expose a deeper perspective, I spent a year with Alessandro and his family, in their daily lives, in order to make people understand what it means living autism day by day.
